Kinonje Abinoonjiiag Niigan Inc.
With the guidance and encouragement from late Chief Dave Traverse we opened our doors in 2020 in our home community of Dallas, Manitoba and as part of the Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation. We also operate a partner office in Winnipeg, Manitoba to provide support for our members both on-reserve and off.
We work closely with children-in-care and families to provide them with family services, support, advocacy, and referrals. Our aim is to ensure a safe and supportive environment while guiding and assisting families in maintaining healthy, unified homes.
Our services include protection and prevention programs to ensure that children and families receive the support they need, and children are safe from abuse and neglect. Annually, we assist in approximately 150 cases, which include children in care and families residing on and off reserve.
